This 1963 Ebb Tide is the work of many. Any annual, large or small, needs the services of a varied group, using their many talents. Now the activities can be re-lived, remembered, and cherished for many years. We hope that in the future you may look at the 1963 Ebb Tide and remember the many activities that made this year a great one! This year the Seniors of 63 have been as successful as they could ever hope to have been. We are the first class to graduate from the new high school; the first Palacios Seniors to wear red and white graduation gowns. Our members have excelled in and made better all the events they have participated in. We are proud of the fact that we have quality instead of quantity. Palacios High School has given us much and we hope that we have left behind many memorable achievements. We enjoyed a Christmas party in the Junior High Cafeteria at which gifts were exchanged and the refresh- ments were gobbled up. The class favorites were Wanda Seamon and Ricky Conrad. When we were not struggling with plane geometry, we had a lot of fun and we look forward to another fun year when we are Juniors. The Palacios Junior Historians was formed in the Spring of 1962 by a group of 10 students who showed an active interest in promoting local history. The membership has been increased to its present number of 32. Some of the goals of our organization for this school are: To promote local history; To promote the school library and the public library with 6 books each on any phase of Texas History; To make two field trips to historical sites near this area; To provide the new Junior High School with an American flag for each room. This organization is new to Palacios and has started off very slowly. This has been done to insure the greatest possible success. We expect to be very active within the next two years and hope to grow each year in stature and usefulness. OFFICERS Aline Guidry . James Henry .
