Junior (Ulass COLORS: Red and White SONG: Wine, Wine, Wine MOTTO: A rolling stone gathers no moss. FLOWER: The Blue Bonnet CLASS OFFICERS President - Terry Shelton Vice-President - Gene Cooper Secretary - Sue Brotemarkle CLASS SPONSORS Mrs. Richard Stone Mr. Sylvester Clark Mr. Harry Trey big It was May 18, 1962. The biggest event of the year for the 61-62 Junior class was about to take place. Yes, it was the day of the Junior-Senior Party. Mrs. Stone was in a panic, Mr. Treybig was doing his best to make some sense out of the decorations, and Mr. Clark, well, he just knew we had all gone crazy! Due to the efforts of the members of our class, the party was very successful. Our class was privileged to be represented by Miss Ann Hunter as a Homecoming Princess. We were also privileged by having three all-district football players in our class--Terry Shelton, Terry Oglesby, and Bruce Erekson. We also had some members on the all-district track and basketball teams --Dalton Mangum and Terry Shelton. Six of our classmates were sent to Boys' State: Gene Cooper, Jack Seaquist, Steve Neal, Tommy Stiles, Terry Shelton, and Terry Oglesby. Seven of our classmates are members of the National Honor Society. Toward the end of school our class enjoyed a class swim and picnic in El Campo. It was the end of a successful year for our class. We believe that we will be even more successful next year. Sue Brotemarkle
