President Axel Haubold Vice-President Julian Jenkins CLASS COLORS: Pink, Green The Sophomore class of 1958-59 had three major activities throughout the year; they were: the Christmas party, Sophomore Sock Hop, and our class picnic. Our Christmas party was held in the high school bookkeeping room. We first had refreshments and then the exchanging of gifts. The Sophomore Class gave a sock hop at the East Side Elementary School with music provided by the High Fives . The gym was decorated with green and pink socks, balloons, and streamers hanging from the ceiling. The total amount collected from the dance that night was approximately forty-six dollars. The scene of the class picnic, towards the end of the school year, was Boling's Ranch. Everyone had fun swimming, playing baseball, and, of course, eating their lunches. April 28, Sports Night, started out with a bang when Butch Bowers, senior class president, crownedShirley Hogg, Freshmen candidate, as Sports Queen, and Barbara Ross, the Sophomore candidate, as Princess. The Sophomores won that night with a total of eighty-seven points. Throughout this year we have had a lot of fun, as we will, I hope, in the years to come. SOPHIE FRANGULLIE
