CLASS COLORS: Blue, Gold The Junior class had three main social events during the year. They were the Christmas party, the class picnic, and the Junior-Senior party. The Christmas party was held in the junior high cafeteria. A skit to the well-known Christmas poem The Night Before Christmas was presented. Tracy Thompson made a darling Santa Claus. After refreshments were served and gifts exchanged, those who wanted to danced. We broke our tradition this year and had our picnic at the Gypsy Wagon on May 14. Everyone enjoyed swimming, eating, and a reckless game of drop-the-handkerchief. Everyone who went had a wonderful time. The Junior-Senior party was a lovely affair in the theme of a nightclub, complete with a doorman, waiters, a bartender, and cigarette girls . It was held at the pavilion on May 1, with music furnished by Tee Tieman and his orchestra. The Sapphire Room was beautifully decorated with silver palm leaves , blue lights, and white table- cloths on the tables. Favors for the evening were little champagne bottles filled with confetti. The program consisted of the reading of the Senior Will by Butch Bowers, and the Junior Prophecy by Roy Lee Hogg. Pugh Dismuskie, the great violini st, honored us by his presence. Refreshments of cake and punch were served. MARION WILSON
