In this play the girls plan to outwit the boys, but the boys with the assistance of Uncle Claibourne give them a run for their money, leaving the girls to meditate while the boys have fun fishing.

Senior Plays THREE ON A BENCH CAST Betty, a girl just out of high school............Betty Friery Harry, an older man , two months older ...........Leon Steiner Mrs. Moore, a kindly old widow..................Mary Heinatz Mr. Callahan, who patrols the bright green park . . .Harold Pennington Scene: A bright green park Time: A gay day in May Mrs. Moore, a lonely widow, amuses her self by observing and helping couples that come into the park. She holds up the mirror of human nature for Betty and Harry, quarreling over a another girl Harry has chanced to admire. She sends them happily on their way and is herself exposed to a bit of romance. As the comedy of the group and as the last play, this one left everyone laughing. For years Father has promised Mother a new house and now he has built a barn on the very site. The fact that daughter Nanny will have to be married in the kitchen rouses Mother to action. She revolts and achieves a fine house. Of course, this isn't as easy as it sounds and this serious comedy holds quite a bit of action.
