Dedication A dedication is a tribute, a memento in words to show admiration and respect for a person or an event. This tribute is directed to one who is close to us, an individual of | accomplishment. We appreciate his careful counsel; we appreciate his temperate and merciful criticism. He is a rock of confidence, in whom our trust was never violated. He is an example of faith, a purveyor of optimism, a champion of fairness and fair play, and at times a harbinger of gloom, but one who ould, and always did, come smiling through in victory or defeat.
