j’or word In a few years this, the 1955 Edd-Tide, will seem commonplace—if not old-fashioned. Right now. however, it means something special to all of us. We would like to put something special into it—something that says. This is our book: this is the story of our days in school—days that really mean something to each of us.” We would like to have pictures of all our activities—the football games, the basketball, volleyball, and tennis that we have watched with such avid en- thusiasm. the long band trips, the F.H.A. camps and F.F.A. exhibits, the pep squad's drill team in action, and thousands of things we feel we should never forget. There are specific pictures we would like to remember, too—the faces of the football boys after winning a game with an old rival, the band, marching briskly in Austin's 'Band Day” parade, the F.H.A. slumber party after a foot- ball game on a cold rainy night, the pride mirrored on the faces of the F.F.A. boys bringing their prizes home from the County fair, and the relief on the faces of the teachers on the last day of school. Since we could not get pictures of all our activities, we shall have to be content with the pictures of people who participated in them—here it is—the Ebb-Tide for 1955. Carla Ehlers Editor 2
