PREP BAND CONCERT BAND MIXED CHOIR MUSIC DEPARTMENT The musuc department has enjoyed one of the most successful and eventful years of recent hustory Under the durectuon of Mr Wardner and Muss Mastor respectuve ly the concert band and muxed chour were of course the bug attractuons To start off the year s actuvutues Paunted Post was well represented at the annual All State Festuval at Canandaugua by Paunted Post from the band and by Dale Casterlune Frank Rug gles Jack Graham and Ed Spauldung from the chour Durung December the band members accompanued the muxed chour on a Chrust mas Carolung Party Also durung the Chrustmas season the chour served the communuty by presentung an evenung Ves per Servuce at the Baptust Church Partucu patron un a Chrustmas musuc program over the local raduo statuon topped off the holu day season for the organuzatuons In February the chour journeyed to Co hocton to uoun un an all county chour festu val Our school was honored by havung Muss Masters chosen to durect the all county gurls chour and Joyce Eygabroat se lected to accompany the group Shortly thereafter the band took part un a sumular festuval held at Adduson Central School Durung the same month the whole musuc department uouned to present a Va ruty Show whuch was ruled by the audu ence as hughly successful The month of May clumaxed the year for the musucally uncluned of P P H S The 5th and 6th were the dates of the annual Sprung Musuc Festuval held thus year at Penn Yan Wuth all the major groups par tucupatung and wuth many solousts or en sembles ut us needless to say that we brought home a mauoruty of the bacon The chour topped the lust of superlatuves wuth a one ratung May l l saw the vullage of Paunted Post fullung up the school audutoruum for the Sprung Concert Once agaun success was our keynote Wuth a feelung of gratutude for our out as we jouned forces once agaun to supply musuc for the monument deducatuon week end of the 27th Our musuc department success was also contrubuted to by the numerous subordun ate organuzatuons Among these were the Marchung Band whuch supported our boys at the football games and took part un the Memorual Day Parade the Gurls Truple Truo whuch was constantly un demand by the area clubs events etc and which also captured a one ratung at Penn Yan the .lunuor Hugh Chour Junuor Hugh Octet the Strung Ensemble Junuor Band the Dance Band and the Concert Orchestra Q I - . . .
