SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As freshmen we wandered znto h1gh school a l1ttle bewtld rea but w1th the same old determlnatlon to make our class the rnost outstandmg one yet We chose Coach Kenny B1lls for our class adv1sor and placed Bock Schrller 1n the pos1t1on of ores1dent w1th loe Fnck as v1ce pres1dent and Dorls Breen secretary treasurer Qur mam accomplxshment that year was contnbutrna to the farewell prcgram for Mr Hall Mr Woodworth was grven the post of honor as our sophomore adv1sor and hm Ohls was elected pres1dent He was accompan1ed on the l1st of othcers by lohn Btce Ruth Clark and Loutse Charnplam A lone class party marked our soclal calendar that year Whatever 1nact1v1tV that marked our prev1ous years was certalnly made up IH our tumor year IH hlgh school Mr Bush shouldered the task of keeprng us on the path and suffered the manv headaches that ao w1th the Chrlstmas card sale and the publtshlng of the Poster Don Potter was our Junror class pres1dent w1th Betty Wa1bel LOIS Brooks and lean McAll1ster flllmg the other posts Though our money maktng ventures took a great deal of our tlme we strll had trme to ennoy a wonderful Chr1stmas party At the end of the year we were count1ng our money and thinklng about our goal whtch was of course our sen1or tr1p to Washrngton We were also satlsf1ed that ours had been the best Poster yet We were also proud that we had ln1t1ated a new money makmg scheme the sellrng of pop and hot dogs at the football games Mr Phelps came to us IH our sen1or year and has been 1nvaluable to us on our last lap of hlgh school ltfe lohn Hostrander was elected to the coveted pos1t1on of senior class president and he has been atded by Dons Breen Pat Stewart and Marllyn McGowan We started our soclal engage ments w1th a hot dog roast and a party ln the gym In November we great deal One of our greatest oroJects of course was the sen1or play wh1ch broke all orevtous money mak1ng records We also sponsored a dance 1n cooperat1on w1th the C F A and Northslde senlors whlch was held 1n our gym As sen1ors we also have been proud of our many fellow classmates who have been repres nt1ng the sen1or class on our champ1onsh1p athletrc teams Looklng back we feel we have had a rather colorful career and are wondermg what the school w1ll do wtthout us SENIOR CLASS WILL We the noble and d1gn1f1ed members of the Sen1or Class of nmteen hundred and forty erght be1ng 1n sound m1nd do declare th1s deed as our Last W1ll and Testament To the mdtvrdual mernbers of tne luntor Class we bequeath the followtng Gerry Cook bequeatns sorne of ner ch1 clotnes to Mart Lagerbom Dlck Reed departs th1s shortens the hst by one of the teachers rtant hand men Dewey Cratg wtlls to Don Adrlch hrs parnpnlets on You Too Can Have Muscles by Charles Atlas V1v1an Casstdy leaves a few helpful h1nts on How To Know Your Faculty Better to Conn1e Elhson whom we hope wtll put 1t to good use Boland Bently and Velma Tnontas comblne IH leavlng thexr muslcal talent to Luc1lle Carey You ought to be well supplred Lucllle Bay Menthew and hm Ohls entrust thetr seats at the Post drner and some of those wonderful pmochle hands to any characters who are good , , , , I ll ll ' 1 I sponsored an amateur show, the proceeds of which swelled our treasury a e ' ' ' ' ' .
