The Senior Class would have not been complete without Al1ce's giggles because we relied on her to cheer us many, many times. Wanda Raughton--Now we go over to the Er1cksdale.community where we find little Wanda very excited about starting to school at Paint Creek. She started to school in 1959 and has been with us for eleven years. Wanda has played a big part in athletic affairs here. Tommy Mansker--We now find, inthe year 1959, a little boy by the name of Tommy attending school at Paint Creek for his first year. 4 Tommy's mischievous and carefree ways have won him friends, not only in Senior Class, but throughout the school. Barbara Watson--with her intelligient mind began her school life in the year of 1959 at Paint Creek. She has worked hard and willingly to make our Senior Class complete. Martha Grand--In the year of 1938 in the little white Howard schoolhouse we find a timid little girl with her finger in her mouth, she is none other than Martha Grand. She has made our last year enjoyable with her easy going ways. Bobby M1ck1er.-- We now deal with the happenings of one of our best athletes. He started to school at Pleasant Valley in the year of 1957. Then in 1940 he came to Paint Crdek, and has always taken an active part in athletics especially basketball. SENIOR WILL Tommy Mansker wills his ability to get along with the freshman girls to David Kahout. Bobby Mickler wills his basketball playing ability and acquaintance with the Stamford girls to Sticky Raughton. Alice Cox wills her singing ability to Mary Helen, who needs it so she can stand under the window at the Anson jail to sing to a certain boy. Wanda Raughton wills her dancing ability to Dorothy Overton. Barbara Watson wills her typing ability to Jerry Thane because he will need it his second yeaf. Tommy Mansker wills his ability to give book reports to Clyde Thomas. Martha Grand wills Wanda Furr her place on the bench when we play a volley ball game. Wanda Raughton wills some of her weight to Jack to put on his arms and legs. Barbara Wills her legs to Bill Hughes. Maybe it will help him to play basketball. Alice Cox wills her big and loud ways to Jerry Terrell so he will be able to compete with the other Juniors. the X PROPHENCY 1950 The night was May the 15th, 1960. A large crowd had gathered at the Mansker theater ln Paint Creek City, Texas. It seemed the older residents of Paint Creek had all turned out to see screen star, Alice Cox, in her first class 'A' picture. Alice has been in Hollywood playing in western pictures, mostly Hop- Along-Gooberts. But her big chance was the star role in 'Life of a Paint Creek Co-Ed.' Cars were coming at a steady clip, and plans were landing on the field provide for them behind the theater next to the Polo grounds. It seems that after Tom finished Paint Creek, or maybe it would be more correct to say, nearly finishm for lt seems that Tommy Mansker failed to get his book reports in or something Any way Tommy became quite an advocate of Polo and created quite a stir in the Polo world. After buying our Mrs. Medford and building the Mansker theater, he had convinced the Paint Creek School Board that Polo should be offered as part of the high school corriculumg and as a result Tommy has done quite well in general, and in specific too, as they say all six ushers are Manskers. Among the celebrities arriving is a neat young thing in sables. It is under- stood she sets the style for the Paint Creek Social Elect. They say she is reaching the height of her career as executive secretary of the Paint Creek Pioneer Oil Companyg she has definately shown the world that'a woman can make her place in the world. Among other things, she is the first woman Mayor of Paint Creek. Wait! She is removing her Ermine coat for the Photographers. Oh, will, clothes have not changed so much at Paint Creek afterall, for she is still wearing levis and anyone would know her. She is Barbara Watson, 'Queen of Paint Creek Soc1ety.' What is this coming? A big long shiney yellow-jeep. What's this brand painted on the side-R 8 S? I guess the R a S stands for Run and Slide, the way those children are leaving that Jeep. But I understand it stands for the Raughton and Sims ranch and quite a ranch they say. South Texas has its King Ranch but Paint Creek has its R a S. As we understand it, Wanda made quite a name fc herself as a Volley ball player in College and still likes to play volleyball when she finds the time. She stays in shape around the ranch chasing calves and kids. - Here comes a tall young man driving up in a chevrolet sports roadster. What's that tied on the back? Of all things, a chicken coope. Look he,has on spate, overcoat and all the trimmings. It is understood he has done well in the poult business since fineshlng Hardin-Simmons. After playing seven years on the Har- din-Simmons basketball team, all of the pro basketball teams offered him fat contracts, but Bobby Mlckler said, 'Noi' Basketball was his second love but chickens were his first and he was going into the poultry business. Look here comes a group over from the school building. The Home Economics teacher has been having an adult class on how to make your own Hydroelectric plant in your own kitchen, This Homemaking teacher has done much to improve living ln Paint Creek and else where with her new methods of teaching and experiments. Among the greatest being a method to cut gravity off from ybur biscuits so they will rise to the desired height. Who is this Home Economics teacher? Who else but Martha Grand. Well so much for the gathering, lets go see if Screen Star, Alice Cox,can bring down the house in the ' its of a Paint Creek Co-Ed.' We expect Alice can for we have seen her knock holes in the gym floor by simply falling. 1 War xv-Q,-Q, 51 ll? ,ga -I aw ar iasH6'i3 5 K i Q21 q IVE i .E X 9 3 L ..
