CLASS PROPHECY The World has no use for the lines that say, Backward, turn backward, Oh time in your flightg Make me a child again, just for tonight. Oh no,in this case the world looks forward, several years in fact to see how that half a dozen Seniors of Paint Creek High School of 1948 are faring in 1958. A tree grows in Brooklyn for people who live in Brooklyn, but for Walter Buerger they grow all around his mansion in cozy little groves near Paint Creek where he tills the soil and is a loyal Citizen. Christine Shaw now owns a controlling interest in The Bunkley Drug Store where She is still key soda jerk. People in Stamford say she can make a banana split with- out taking off the peel. Glen Sandefur still drives a bus for P.C.H.S. and attends wild West Shoot 'em ups in between runs while Mary Lou operates the shootin' gallery and minds the kids. Glen will go on a pension after 18 more years. .Tohnnie Raughton is not a poet, but she is in the poultry business. She is chief egg-counter for the business, says Bobby loses them too much money when He counts them. He insists there should be 13 eggs in a dozen when the eggs are small. Each afternoon from 3 to 5 on the Court House Lawn at Haskell, Lee Roy Schaake tells all interested by-standers how he made 26 points in a football game with Megargel in 1948. On one brilliant play he went around his own left end for 140 yards. As expected, he tills the soil for a hobby. Rowena Terrell runs the P.C.H.S. Lunch Room and cares for their six children while Jerry is off running over the Country signed up with the Army. She says he only signed up for 2.0 years and just has 14 years and Z months to go until He'll be discharged. Yes,they were a pretty good bunch but, look at them now. Well anyway they seem to be happy and that counts in their favor. THE SENIOR CLASS WILL Johnie Beth Raughton--Wills her ability of speech making to Barbara Watson. Christine Shaw--Wills her two years of Geometry to Bobby Mickler. Rowena Terrell--One year ago Joyce Martindale willed her forgetfullness to Rowena l who in turnwilled it on to Alice Cox,and she also wills her ability for catching a man to Martha Grand. Walter Buerger--Wills his ability to get along with a certain little sophomore girl to Tommy .Toe Mansker. Glen Sandefur--Wills his flirty ways to Mary Sue Gordon. Lee Roy Schaake--Wills his bright red face to Wanda Mae Raughton.

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Walter Buerger--Began his career at Ericksdale in 1937. Walter spent his time breaking eggs in the coal ben, when the teacher thought he was gathering coal. Then in 1939 he came to Paint Creek and no coal bins! .Tohnie Beth Raughton--As we travel along the Berryhill road we find a little girl who is none other than .Tohnie Raughton. After two years of school at Berryhill, .Tohnie started to school at Paint Creek. The school wouldn't know what to do without her, because of her athletic ability and her friendly way. Lee Roy Schaake--We look over in Howard School and find little Lee Roy waiting for the teacher to wake him up and remind him that he is still in class. After two years of Howard School he came to Paint Creek and is well known because of his ability as a football player. Christine Shaw--We go back into Ericksdale hills to find our little brown eyed girl of the class attending the Ericksdale School.. After two years at Ericksdale she came to Paint Creek. She is well known because of her pleasing personality. Glen Sandefur--If we moved over to Ward School we find little Glen scraping his brain to find a cute answer forhthe teachers. After one year of Ward he started to Paint Creek School. Here he finishes his high school work. Rowena Terrell--As we travel along the post road we find little timid Rowena, but as she grew older she became more talkitive and more active in her school work at Paint Creek school.
