can .jslwfory Trylng to capture on paper the spurlt that has made png tanled gurls and freckled faced boys unto the epltome of semor classes IS about luke maklng a boquet wlth a rose petal Stull I the class hlstorran would like to hrghllght a few of the chapters written by the l953 Pahokee Senior Class We have been a famlltar group wlth our pets and pests We came out of the sixth grade thlnkmg that we had knowledge to store When we hat the halls of P H S they quleted consnderably for un a few weeks some of our be loved faculty members showed us that we stlll had a hard grind ahead of us Our seventh and eighth grades passed wuth no catastrophues Then came our green FRESHMAN year which turned out to be a year of fun wlth beach parties wemer roasts hay rldes and even a few dances We were led through that year by Prestdent Bobby Carlton Vlce Presndent Harry Levms Secretary Peggy Lynn Shlrley and Treasurer Eleanor Walker lalthough we dudnt have any moneyl ln our SOPHOMORE year we began to get use to thmgs and began to let our halr down Happiness reigned when many of us became actlve In different school organlzattons That year we sold subscrlp tlons to the Pahokee News In order to make money to put on the annual Senior dance For the flrst tame we had a little money left to begun our next year We were led that year by none other than Presldent Calvin Padgett Vlce President Ann Atklns Secretary Eleanor Walker and Treasurer Thelma Vann We also had a Reporter Danny Mullls for at that tame we had a school paper The Devils Tale We are also happy to say that year our Halloween candudates took the honors of Kung and Queen ye.1r were toward putting on our Junior Sensor Prom We sold magazine subscrlptlons sponsored dances sold hot dogs and drunks at the football games Our mann source of enloyment that year was puttlng on our play Stranger rn the Naght That sprung we gave our Prom wnth a Starllght theme Our offlcers that year were President Robert DeLoach Vice President Jlmmy Rozelle Secretary Helen Tucker Treasurer Eleanor Walker Buslness Managers Sylvra Wnlson and Danny Mullns Watchdog Mane Sapp and Reporter O G Ryals We all had a funny feeling when we registered for our SENIOR year We went to work and elected our officers to lead us through our last year We pncked for Presldent Don Adams Vlce President Ann Atklns Secretary Peggy Lynn Shirley and Treasurer Roberta Hatton also our brave Watchdog was Bennie Sums We antlclpate many things of happiness for the rest of the year and hope they will all come true We hope that our Influence has been a good one for the sake of our future Sensors and the school We regret havlng to leave thus school which has become our second home these twelve years As we go to spread the Influence that we have gained through our connectnon wnth you and our good faculty we leave our best wlshes of a world wude educational system with P H S and hopes that ut plays an Important role un the future ofa better Ameruca an Amerrca In whoch every one ns glven the prtvllege to develop his abllltles to the utmost and be able to apply them to purposeful llvlng ANN ATKINS CLASS HISTORIAN I ' I I .
