As Rupert stands off in a daze thinking of his own love life, the young girls an- xiously discuss .lune's approaching mar- riage. Belva, the spinster next door, warns of the big step young folks are taking by getting married, while Aunt Kate, the wealthy member of the family, agrees wholeheartedly. Pat very sincerely expresses his love and affection for Ann as he places the moon stone engagement ring on her finger. Although they know the Cham- bers won't approve, the young couple has no idea of the trouble they are about to rneet. Things really begin to happen!!! l 13140 . 859 g 'gwgliiyq ,.ri , June explains to Aunt Kate her plans for college, marriage, and a family, while Frances, Ann's older married sister tells her mother how she and Jay got the loan for their home. Father has just made a deal with Pat's Uncle Arch, The A. Albert Monroe, and urges Ann and Pat to be married immediately. Looks like all are happy except Belva who lectures on young marriages while Rupert listens very inatten- tively ! ! !

As the curtain falls, Eva Mae and Skipper recall the days when they were so very young and they leaped head on into a happy, lasting marriage.
