As Rupert stands off in a daze thinking of his own love life, the young girls an- xiously discuss .lune's approaching mar- riage. Belva, the spinster next door, warns of the big step young folks are taking by getting married, while Aunt Kate, the wealthy member of the family, agrees wholeheartedly. Pat very sincerely expresses his love and affection for Ann as he places the moon stone engagement ring on her finger. Although they know the Cham- bers won't approve, the young couple has no idea of the trouble they are about to rneet.
