Ofher acfivifies fo eradicafe fhe gloom of fhe academic phase of school were fhe class moonlighf picnic in November, fhe Pre- Chrisfmas Dance in December, Junior class day and fhe nighl' of enchanfmenf- fhe Junior-Senior Promenade in April. Signs of being grown-ups were evidenf when we refurned in Sepfember as Mighfy Seniors -fhe boys sporfed manly musfaches, while fhe girls were fad- conscious wifh fheir wide variefy of slcirfs, belfs, blouses, and chic hair-bobs. Class leaders fhis year were Harry Nishihara, presidenfg Irene Yoshida, vice pres- idenfg Helene lida, secrefaryg and Richard Kado, freasurer under fhe advisorship of Miss Clara Kochi. Highlighfing fhe climax of high school life were fhe fun-filled moonlighf picnic in November, fhe successful Moonlighf Serenade Dance sponsored in January: fhe class play, Heavenly Daze , which revealed many hidden falenfsg fhe Senior class day in June when we enferfained fhe underclassmen and faculfy for fhe lasf fime, leaving wiih fhem a memory which will always linger, The annual Junior-Senior Promenade in April, and fhe Senior Banquef when all of us were al' our very besf and enioyed a fime of feasfing and dancing. All buf foo soon came fhe day of days-The day when our accomplishmenfs were finally recognized and rewarded-Commencemenf Day. Deserving sfudenfs were honored wifh awards.
