T h e constitution w a s formulated b y Miss Katherine Simmons and w a s strongly backed by Principal J.A. Williams. The Wellington andPampa Constitutions were used in the planning of the Paducah Constitution. The Student Council has been under the direction of Miss Katherine Simmons since its organization. COUNCIL The Student Council has charge of preparing and presenting all of the assemblies . For the last three years, theyhave presented the Art Exhibits and have bought pictures for the school with the money. On December 17, 1954, theywent into the semi- finals undefeated in 13 straight games. Though they played hard and fought all the way, they were defeated 26-21. Ads are sold at the first of school and are the only way to pay for the annual. These girls do all the book- keeping and supervision of the selling of annuals. Each staff member was responsible for s e llingadvertisements at the first of the school year. Patricia Love and Richard Duncan are re- sponsible for the typin g and art work in this years Zephyr. To meet all the deadlines, everyone had to be responsible for his own copy, however, Patricia did all the typing for those on the staffwho could not type. Richard did the artwork for eachindividual layout, but his main work is on the division pages and front page. 2 EPI-IYFQ An entirely differnt Zephyr w a s the g oal of the yearbook staff this year. They strived topresent youwithunusual copy, pictures, and original artwork. The staff met four deadlines, the first in December and the last in March. These two Freshmen editors, Joe Powell and Gene Bob Cribbs, have been very busy this year learning the principles of editing a year- book. They did the layouts in the fAlamo sec- tion.
