DEDICATION As is traditional from year to year, a faculty member is chosen whose contributions to school life have exceeded mere expectations. Although having been a part of Pacolet High School for a short time, inspiration, dedication, understanding, and a true sense of sportsmanship and character have endeared you to the hearts of students, faculty, and administration. To one whose patience, cooperativeness, loyalty, outstanding spirit and untiring service is known by all students, THE 1966 TOMAHAWK is honored to dedicate its pages of one year’s pictorial history to vou, MR. BUDDY TAPPE.
THE SPIRIT OF PHS Discovering that success often depends on one’s spirit, we have learned to live, love, and work with the spirit of Pacolet High. We have found this spirit walking down the halls, practicng for class plavs, hustling to win a hall game, planning the Homecoming Parade, yelling with the cheerleaders, or tackling class assignments. We realize that the bell of knowledge tolls for us. We have found that only the keys of yesterday can open the gates of tomorrow. Pacolet High has helped us realize that “happy is the man that findeth wisdom and the man that getteth understanding”. Truly the spirit of which P.H.S. is made is tightly interwoven in all thoughts and remembrances of this ... our Alma Mater.
