Class Poem Four short years are overg our high school days are past Now let this poet introduce you to the graduating class. John Myers, with black curly hair, The latest style is sure to wear. Linda Carris, whose hair is red, The best of pals , 'tis truly said. With Fred Wells, there's never a gloomy day, For he always has something bright to say. Janice Woolums, with a ready smile, Lets you know life's really worth while. Ronald Pickard, who through school has roared, Will ride into the future in a dark green Ford. Lynda Davis, the brain of our class, Is a tall and quiet type of lass. Leroy Shull, everybody's buddy, Doesn't waste much time on such things as study. Beverly Hedlund, tall and slim, Spends most of her time just thinking of him . Jim Holcomb, blond and tall, Is a real good guy with a basketball. Portia Gonzalez, always lively and gay, A fortune will End some sunny day. Wayne Hadley, with a girl on his arm, Says his future plans are to own a farm. I Class Prophecy Here it is 1968 and as I, Wayne Hadley pilot my Piper Cub in for a landing, the first person I see is Ronald Pickard. He is engaged in farming and is happily married. He has three sons who help him farm his five hundred acre farm. As I move on I rim into John Myers, who is operating a large dairy farm north of Packwood. He and his four sons farm three hundred acres. John says he and his wife are very happy since they graduated from Packwood High School. My next stop is at the local beauty salon. Here I ran into Janice Woolums. When she was at P. H. S. she said she wanted to have six children and she now has seven. Her husband operates a filling station in Packwood. The next person I see is Jimmy Holcomb. He owns a large constructionl company out west, but has come back to Packwood to visit some of his old friends. From the looks of the new Imperial Jim was driving,he is doing alright for himself. The next person I saw was Beverly Hedlund. She and her husband have settled down and have two children. She isn't working at this time because she and her husband struck oil in their backyard. She has a number of maids working for her at the present time. Fred Wells heard I was in town and decided to look me up. He is a millipnaire at this time and we. heard he lights his cigars with twenty dollar bills. He is happily married and spends his spare time playing pool. Next I saw Linda Carris. It seems she owns a greenhouse and likes her work I very much. She is now married and has one little gi.rl. Linda told me that she re- ceived a letter from Portia Gonzalez, who is a missionary in the West Indies. .Portia is planning to come home for a month's vacation before too long. My next encounter was Leroy Shull. He is now operating a sale barn in which he does his own auctioneering. He also owns a two hundred acre farm on which he spends his summers. We hear that Lynda Davis is working as a private secretary in Des Moines. She is happily married to her boss. As I bring my small plane in for a landing I think about all the wonderful experiences I had while at Packwood High School. While I was still in the plane my wife came rush- ing out and told me that the local wheat buyer was going to give me an extra five cents a bushel for my wheat, which I had raised on my wheat ranch in Kansas.
