4 f.. Yi' THE JUNIOR CLASS 14 Modern Tmtype This widefeyed group of bewildered young ladies was much too suddenly plunged into a new system of work and play. Overrunf ning the Social Room with hridge players and uhoogiefwoogien addicts they left the settled Seniors breathless at the pace they set. Nevertheless, time has shown that these sprightly juniors can work. Under the expert guidance of Louise Giordano, President, this energetic group was eventually organized, and the finished product is quite satisfactory. They were fortunate enough to have Miss Giddings as Prefect, Alida Brown as Vice-President, Grace Clark as Secretary, and Anita Leather as Treasurer. They collaborated with us in hockey, turned out en masse at the PELICAN Prom, and gave Spring Dance. No wonder we foresee big things ahead for these prospective dignified Seniors. ii

, Conversation Piece COLLEGE NOTES Ten to one, only one out of ten entering Juniors does not think of the privileges the Collegiate School offers her. The privilege of actually vvhizzing out of school hefore tvvofthirtyffive, if you're freeg of using the lihrary until six when you need it inostg of squishing out your cigarette in the cork' centered ashftray of the social rooni. But there are other privileges too. That of out' lining the Psychology chapters, of taking class notes in Econoinics and of preparing two hours work per course instead of for ty' live minutes. Yet take a vote and you'll get unaniinous approval of the vvhole Collegif ate School System. Mayhe it's because by this tiine we realize that the faculty are real, human people who are willing to niake school life more informal and more palatahle. 13
