ACADEMIC RECESS Assembly Room-Y radio, dancing, Dixie cups. Rhythm a daily recurrence. Accent on Touth. Remember the thrill of finding a room all your own? Remember an exclusive spot Where you talked to whom you pleased, danced in stocking feet, and really felt terribly important . . . even ifit was only till the clock struck one? Academic School means Plane Geometry and Elementary Algebra, but it also means a hurried lunch and the music of Tommy Dorsey. Let's remember more than that, though. Let's not forget a separate building for the little tots, a pentf house for the Sixth Elementary, a Social Room for the juniors and Seniors, and yet . . . a chapel and school spirit for all. Let's remember the sound of the piano, the squeak ofthe chairs, the phonetics chart on the wall, the crack of volley' ball against window. Let's remember the jump ofthe clock, the jump of the jitterbug, the jump of the heart. Lets remember. Rllytlimir Shadows 11
