Led by first year coach Bob Cape, most of the runners were either young or inexperienced. Playing in the toughest league in the county, our runners didn ' t fare too well; yet Cape foresees a strong future ahead. With the likes of top runners Greg King, Luis Garcia, and Greg Kriesel returning to next year ' s squad, an Empire League championship will be within reach in the seasons ahead. Newcomers Karl Greene and Bill Long, both recruits off of the track and field team, had the difficult task of coverting from high jumps and short distances to the long, enduring distances, which they handled very well. Greene and Long, who were the numbers four and five men, respectively, will also be returning next season. Seniors Wayne Milho and William Milho provided the little exper- ience there was, while team captain Todd Tatham provided leader- ship and rounded out the squad. Coaches Bob and Carol Cape
