SPIRIT WEEK This year ' s spirit week activities, competitions, and events were well supported by the student body. There was great participation in the dress up days and class competitions which created a feverish atmosphere of school spirit here at Pacifica. Spirit week was brought to a peak on Friday morning, as well as Thursday night, of course, with the lawn decoration. Aside from the controversy surrounding the event, it added to the excite- ment of what spirit week is all about.

A Toy Box Full of Dreams ... October 16, was quite a night for Pacifica. Fans and alumni filled the Mariner stands to watch Pacifica defeat Kennedy 7-0. Bridget Brill reigned as Queen for the year 81-82. Senior Princesses were Marie Slagle, and Kandi Owen. Junior Prin- cess was Karen Smith, Sophomore Princess was Deann Shanon, and Freshman Princess was Lisa Sheehan. The Senior Class float, a Rubik ' s cube, captured 1st. The cross country float, a running shoe, captured 2nd. The Junior float, a wind-up mouse following a piece of cheese, captured 3rd.
