PATSY LAKIN MARINER OF THE YEAR 104 Patsy Lakin has been chosen as Mariner of the Year by the Girls Physical Education Department for her worthy contributions as an ath- lete and leader. Patsy has competed in sports since she was a Freshman. As a Fresh- man she was on the Junior Varsity Badminton and Vollyball teams. During her sophomore year she earned a Varsity letter in Badminton and Gymnastics and again competed on the Junior Varsity Volleyball team. By the time Patsy had finished her Junior year she had received another Varsity letter for Badminton and Volleyball and accumulated over 300 points. Patsy will be one of the top athletes to have accumulated over 450 points during her High School career. Besides her participation in athletics, Patsy has shown great leadership both on and off the athletic fields. She has been a worthy contributor to our girls athletic program and will be missed greatly. Good Luck, Patsy in your future and Thank You for all your help! Girls Physical Education Dept.

ROB GLISSON MARINER OF THE YEAR |9 A m n Pacifica High School has a very rich tradition in athletics. The quality of athletes has always been high and each year one athlete is chosen from many talented individuals to be honored as Mariner of the Year. This years selection, Rob Glisson, truly represents the scholar-alhlete that Pacifica is constantly striving to produce. Rob has participated in three sports for his four years as a Mariner. That kind of versatility is becoming increasingly rare. In football Rob was selected as Lineman of the Year on his Freshman team. He then started on the Varsity team for the next three years In his Senior year Rob was named Offensive Player of the Year and was selected 1st team all Hmpire League and 1st team All-County. As a Basketball player Rob played at all four levels. His leadership skills and popularity were evidenced by the fact he was elected captain of his Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Varsity teams. As a Baseball player Rob played on the Frosh Soph and Junior Varsity teams and last year was selected as Most Improved player on the Varsity team. At this writing Rob is leading this years team in victories as a starting pitcher. The abilities Rob has shown in athletics have been displayed in the classroom as well. Rob will complete his High School education with a 3.5 grade point average. Pacifica High School is proud of Rob Glisson and his contribution to the Mariner tradition. 105
