THETA NU ALPHA This year was a quiet year for the girls of Theta Nu Alpha sorority, everyone feeling the academic strain of 7-7-3. Fall rush saw the addition of 17 new pledges into the ranks of the Il II prudes . Sorority activities included firesides , Christmas caroling, Noelograms and the dinner dance which was held at the Thunderbird Hotel and Jantzen Beach. PHI LAM BDA OM ICRON Phi Lambda Omicron, better known as Philos among the members of this sorority and other students on campus. The involvement of these girls began this fall with minor and major rushes to make new girls aware of the organization and to encourage them to join. This year they wel- comed nine new members, with a hope for more from the spring semi-formal rush. This organization of women at Pacific has many annual activities such as barn dances in the fall and spring and also the formal dinner dance in the spring. They perform many service projects, hold parties for special occasions and find other forms of entertainment. GAMMA SIGMA l The oldest fraternity west of the Mississippi River is now completing its 112th year and its officers include Mike Scott-president, Rick McCurdy-vice presi- dent, Sam Schaefer-secretary, Nick Opie- treasurer, Alan Rhodes-chaplain . ln the fall, the fraternity held an alumni- active stag party, conducted an active-pledge football game, participated in the Wassail Christmas party . This spring a Gamma-Theta dinner dance was held . Pledges: Scott Poxon, Dennis Hillen, Rusty Hale, Dave Wolf. MISSING: Brad Malinowski, Paul Obina, Jim Iles.
