, In a fall highlighted by a disappointing football record, a very bright spot came from those involved with the 1975 cross country team coached by Jim Weber, which finished 18th in the NAIA National Cross Country championship in Salina, Kansas. The team's performance was highlighted by Ron Adams 47th place finish and outstanding performances by Ron Vogt and Dave Nees. The harriers missed their first Northwest Conference championship ever by just seven points. Weber commented, Considering we weren't even ranked going into the meet I feel an 18th place finish is a good starting place. I hope to be in the top ten next year. I think some of the other schools are looking at the results and saying 'what's Pacific doing up fhere? ' With a national ranking, Pacific's cross country team was a good thing to be involved in. il - . .L . isa., , 3H,.

FIELD HOCKEY l've been very pleased with the team's playing this year , commented Coach Judy Sherman about the performance of the women's field hockey team. The team standings ended up as two wins and three losses. Leading scorer for the season was Susan Dickson, and Diana Krieger did very well at the goalie position.
