Graduation requirements, meanwhile, are being cwanged to get students to take more courses in areas other than their major. In its report to the Senate suggesting the abolishment of Common Inquiry classes at Pacific, the Curriculum Committee said that Cl , in fact, had provoked little interdisciplinary inquiry -the original goal of the classes and single topics. While the official Common Inquiry program passes away quietly in 1976, the ideas of inquiry--and involvement--with a broad spectrum of subjects will live on in future generations of PU students. 21

5 The third seven week term began with registration on January 27 with classes opening on the following day. Students who didn't return for the winter 3-week term found it hard to get back into the regular class schedule. The basketball team continued to play very well, the swim team, gymnastics team and wrestling team kept the athletic's going strong. Among several activities planned was a casino night held in the IVIPR on February 13. Other activities throughout the term included an Artist Series concert, a Leona Boyd con- cert, movies, banjo and string guitar workshop, Blue Sun Lyric Theatre, a career plan- ning seminar and a dance featuring Brother and Friends. With the involvement of students with these activities, the seven week term went by swiftly and the 7-day break began to give students the rest and free time they needed at this time of the year.
