t, no K g A-K ,..f g .ggyle - 3, Christmas vacation can never come too early or last too long for anyone and this year it was welcomed with open arms. Teachers were working on students nerves and vice-versa and the weather was getting colder and faster than the year before. Students became anxious for the two and a half weeks of Christmas break and found themselves not caring as much as they should have about their final grades. With the end of the second 7-week term also came the end of the year, 1975. New years always promise new hopes and horizons. It was no different with the students of Pacific as they began to anticipate a superior 1976.

These courses were instituted in the fall of 1973 as part of the dramatic shake-up of Paci-fic's en- tire curriculum. The purpose was to give students a chance to deal with a single prob- lem or topic lthis year, Survival D in a series of courses offered in a variety of de- partments. In the fall of 1975, it became time to choose another topic for these classes to deal with. Unfortunately, the Curriculum Committee, headed by Professor Marshall Lee, found a lack of interest in the suggesting and choosing of the new topic. Loath to dictate a topic to the campus , as the committee said, they recommended the dropping of the Common Inquiry topic and classes, effective June of 1976. The Senate approved the move in January, dropping CI from graduation requirements.
