Sigma fraternity. Those performing dances were Joan Walker, accompanied by Monte lVIcGovern, and John Neff and his dancers. The P.E . IVIajors Club put on a humorous skit and Santa Claus appeared after everyone joined in singing The First Noel and Joy to the World . All the girls and the advisor of Oak Leaf deserve many thanks for putting together a great show and keeping the Wassail Party a growing tradition over the years. 15

X 'Ei 3 A gs' , WASSAIL PARTY A tradition at Pacific University for the past 48 years has been the Christmas Wassail Party, held this year on Tuesday, December 9 . The boar's head was carried by Dean Charles Trombley, Dean Willard Bleything carried the raisins and offering the wassail bowl was English professor, lVlr. lVlichael Steele. The procession was done after a pro- gram of music, dance and a touch of acting by students of Pacific University. Among those singing or playing Christmas carols and hymns were the Gospel Choir, the Hawaiian Club, Laird Thornton, Ed Schaefer and Doug lVlclVlickle and the Gamma
