'Qi ,Y sg Q 2 c Q ,fl A ., 1 HOMECOMING 1975 Activities for Homecoming 1975 started earlier than scheduled as the football team gathered in front of the University Center, Thursday, October 16th, for a rally to get the students psyched for the weekend. On Friday, a noise parade around the Grove led the students and royalty court to the sight of the bonfire at the Cannery field. I I Il-F. lui-Ts ' A comedy marathon was held featuring comedy movies all night long with students being encouraged to bring their sleeping bags. Coach Hap Hingston got the bowling team started again in Septembert The girls volleyball team launched its season with two wins over University of Portland. The college radio station, KPUR, expanded their broadcasts to the Adult Student Housing. lVIany coffee houses were held in the Boxer Pause and offered good music and entertainment and good foodt, There were bake sales held in the University Center, a canoe trip, and rummage sales, to name a few activities. It was a time to rejoin yourself with the world around you and to tell everyone that you're alive.

4 . 3,-. representing Omega Ephsilon PHI. The fire was lit and the cheerleaders led a few cheers to bring out the spirit. That night a dance was held in the IVIPR, sponsored by the Hawaiian Club, with the tradition of the freshman Hawaiians performing island dances during intermission. The Alumni sponsored a poster contest Saturday which was won by Option I wing of Walter Hall. The sororities held brunches that morning and in the afternoon was the big game against Whitworth. The spirit of the fans and the efforts of our team were well above what was expected although the victory went to Whitworth. Saturday night, about 300 alumni gathered in the commons for dining and dancing. Chi Coltrane put on a fantastic concert in the gym Sunday night to end the weekend of Homecoming.
