r'---A-....,,,dug Larry Garland The first seven-week term for the school year '75-'76, was a time for getting back together the teams and organizations that had taken a rest during the three months of summer vacation. On the sunny days, many stu- dents found playing frisbee on the lawns a relaxing way of forgetting the hassles of classes. The first intramural tournament of frisbee was held on September 12th. The sororities and fraternities welcomed new brothers and sisters. A special dinner was weld in the Commons for the Bi-Cen- tennial Year and Saga held several picnics on the lawn between die dorms. Diana Krieger, Curtis Yokoo, Theresa Campbell and Sam Schaefer and others completed a 36-hour dance marathon to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.

gt I' 'T Y L The beginning of the school year 1975-1976 approached and with it, the beginning of new classes, new activities, new rela- tionships. Old friends reunited and new faces found their way into our hearts. Freshman Orientation was held September 29th, 30th and 31st, From all over the country they gathered, settled, and made Pacific their new home. The upper classmen arrived and registration, on the 2nd and 3rd of September, officially marked the opening of the year, with hopes and promises and maybe a few dreams. Activities began with the opening of Pacific's doors as everyone began the movement of involvement. Classes--Football-- Suns1ine--IVIovies--Parties--Smiles--Soccer--Homecoming-- Frisbees--Skateboards--Picnics--Bloodmoble--Five-day Break. PACIFIC UNIVERSITY--LET IT SURRGUND YOU! I I Il-F. lui-Ts ' A comedy marathon was held featuring comedy movies all night long with students being encouraged to bring their sleeping bags. Coach Hap Hingston got the bowling team started again in Septembert The girls volleyball team launched its season with two wins over University of Portland. The college radio station, KPUR, expanded their broadcasts to the Adult Student Housing. lVIany coffee houses were held in the Boxer Pause and offered good music and entertainment and good foodt, There were bake sales held in the University Center, a canoe trip, and rummage sales, to name a few activities. It was a time to rejoin yourself with the world around you and to tell everyone that you're alive.
