,Hu rmcn fuc semen. - ff as .- ...-. THE JUNIOR CLASS HE JUNIOR CLASS started the school year of l927-28 with high hopes and ambitions. Our class was composed of twenty-five students, eight resident and seventeen non-resident, all of whom were greatly in- terested in the prospects for the coming year. Our class officers were selected early, and they immediately proved their worth. A straight course was offered the juniors. It is com- posed of United States History, English Literature, Higher Mathematics, and Physiology. Courses were also offered in Typewriting and Physical Education. All but four took advantage of the Typewriting course and all are taking ad- vantage of the Physical Education training A large percentage of the uniors are also interested in the various activities of the school such as the declama tory and oratorlcal contests track and held events and music Clara Maher the high school star runner is a member of the unior Class Francis Maguire and Newton Everett of our class are also among the leading runners Several others of our class were members of the basket ball teams four re ceiving letters Bennie Martin a promising young unior orator won second in the preliminary oratorical contest ln music our class is well represented five of the boys and six of the girls being members of the Ctlee Clubs Two of our uniors are also members of the school orchestra We are indeed proud of Owen and Celeste Arban who are two of the brightest students in school They have never failed to represent our class on the honor roll As a whole we believe our class to be one of the bright est in school We expect to see many of our classmates in future years holding high places in the world and its in dustries f l926 1 !
