Dr. Kenneth P. Bailey Principal Leading Pacific for its thirteenth year, Dr. Bailey upheld his familiar words, Get on the stick! During his school years Dr. Bailey set an excellent example for all students as the recipient of the first Ph.D. from U.C.L.A. He received the Best American History Novel Award in 1949 for The Ohio Company of Virginia and the Westward Movement and had six other books published, in- cluding one of Pacific ' s textbooks. During his twenty-eight years in education he has been a member of the State Curriculum Commission, past president of Kiwanis, General Chairman of the Arrowhead United Fund, a History Panel member for the Office of Education in Washing- ton, D.C., and a member of the Uptown Y.M.C.A. Dr. Bailey also succeeded in athletics, lettering in football, baseball, boxing, wrestling, and rugby. Pacific offers something special for each and every student if he or she will aim for a full life. James Brickley Vice-Principal Directing student activities, including student council, as- semblies, rallies, and promo- tional activities, filled every minute of the ' 65- ' 66 school year for the first vice-princi- pal, Jim Brickley, who has held that position for six years. For scholarship, athletics, cit- izenship, and enthusiasm this has been a year that will long be remembered at Pacific. y
