Our voyage has carried us through all the required courses and watches. Now we have received our Captain's bars and must leave the sheltered bay of youth and venture forth into the stormy, white-capped seas of life. And as we leave we say Bon Voyage to all the joys and sorrows, all the accomplishments and defeats of our high school years, knowing that they will make us happy and capable sailors as we take com- mand of our own ships. GERTRUDE BOETTCHER The staff of the Pacificana takes great pride and pleasure in dedi- cating the 1955 yearbook to Mrs. Gertrude Boettcher, vice principal of girls. Mrs. Boettcher has done a wonderful job this past year at Pacific. In this truly difficult position, her personality, tact, and patience have enabled her to help many girls. Any girl needing a friend will discover that Mrs. Boettcher is a sympathetic and warmhearted person and she has helped many girls on campus with their personal problems. Mrs. Boettcher has performed a valuable service to the clubs on campus by serving as advisor to the Inter-Club Council. It is then with much gratitude and appreciation that we dedicate the 1955 Paeificana to Mrs. Gertrude Boettcher, our woman of the year. 0 nTenTs 'L li . i qli L ls Sp 6 d m Y E Opho 56 74 Nur Thvrc- is an old fayiug that goes womething like t A vouug vouplf- roilf-vt:-wi III the- iruruf-11 uurror ol,-1-nu thc- me-1115 that hun' o4'e-u1'rf-rl during ilu- puwt fc-hool ye .11 lilo you muy I'f'1'UQlllil1' thf- 1-ouple-. ilu-y are iIll1'Il1lf'f1 to 1ply re-pre-will lllilllf' -tlulvlltf ut P.H.S. when time has gone. you IIFWPI' have 3 1-hauce to l'f'gIi1iIl It all is the- purpo-v of thc- Pavifim-ullai. to hvlp you rw-all the fwuts of tho pmt vvur at I,ii4'ltl4'. ,- ,. . . .
