The I944 varsiTy TracksTers wound up in second place in he C.C.A.L. race and only a few poinTs separaTed Them from The TiTle. In addiTion five of The heavyweighfs qualified for The NorTh CoasT aecTion meeT aT The Universi-y of California. ln The lighTweighT division five P. G. TracksTers noT only qualified for The big meeT aT California buf came home from Berkeley having earned a firsT place Tie and a gold Trophy. Three of These boys, Bill Filson, Joe Canaya, anc EvereTT Rucker are sTill on hand To aid P. G. Track hopes in l945. OT The five varsiTy men who Traveled To U. C. lasT year, Capf.
