Art classes this year were the first at Pacelli to be held everyday and credited. Besides drawing and painting, the students made various art projects throughout the year. In addition, the course included the learn- ing of several different art techniques. Mechanical drawing was offered to some geometry students this year also. Techniques Stressed in It Iifistruction

Religion of Today - ore Meaningful To Students The peace and brotherhood of today may make us feel deeply the reality that peace and joy is not everywhere. But seeing the problems of men is one step toward solving them. This year the Religion classes and courses have been geared to the young generation with the concept of Ecumenism. No longer has Religion been affiliated with the established church but as a sym- bol of closer Christian-secular world association such as that of the folk- guitar mass. Scholars such as Bama- bus Ahern, C.P. and Bernard Cocke, SJ. voices have echoed to students through tapes. Advanced religion classes have studied sex education, marriage, dating and family formation. Sophomores have studied Christian values and practices, while the Fresh- man initiated the study of Salvation History.

The new modular schedules enabled the science classes to have longer class periods this year. As a result, chemistry lab periods were held regularly once a week. Biology and Physical Science students also benefited from lab periods though not quite as often.
