A typical informal listening scssion in the music room. Quartet HIS society, devoted to music appreciation, was organized in October of 1949 by its present faculty adviser, Mr. Robert M. Dell. The endeavors of the members of this organization are directed toward a familiarization with both contemporary and past composers, and their works. This program is not restricted to those composi- tions which are familiar to all, but also to obscure works which pass unnoticed by many. The organization keeps abreast of happenings in the immediate vicinity by frequently attending local musical offerings such as: the ballet, opera, and numerous Broadway musical hits. QUARTET now has a record library of over one hundred selections, which are available for members and guests at any time. QUARTET, al- though young in comparison with other organiza- tions, has found itself a place near the top of the list of the most popular activities at Pace College. T 1 mu--R. Smith, R. Marquis, R. ' D mounting HE Pace College Accounting Club was acti- vated in September of I9-19, to offer to the students of the Accounting School an opportunity to participate in professional activities. Originally, the club functioned in the interests of upperclassmen. Now, in accordance with the growth and expansion of Pace College, a new approach had been adopted: to include all stu- dents in accounting. The Accounting Club, late in 1950, decided upon the name Homer S. Pace Accounting So- ciety, in honor of the achievement and contribu- tions in the lield of accounting made by the founder of the college. The society will present pins and keys to its members who have shown a better-than-average understanding of accounting and who have been unusually active in the group.
