RGANIZED in April, 1948, the PACE COL- LEGE PRESS has grown from a monthly to a bi-weekly, and is now published on a weekly basis. Frank C. Demarest, inheriting the editorship from Perry C. Vascellaro, moved up from Copy Editor to assume the responsibility of producing the first weekly undergraduate publication. julian Nicholas was named Editors Assistant and served as liaison between the Administration and the Press. Roy Kaufman became Copy Editor, and his was the monumental task of assigning stories and hounding the reporters to make the deadline. The Feature Staff, producing Observations, the Faculty and Student Portraits, Night Owl, and many other by-lined articles, was responsible for diverting the news stories into a more interesting vein by in- cluding student personalities. This staff functioned without an editor until the Spring Term when Ernest Goldhirsch assumed the position of Fea- ture Editor. The Sports Editorship was handled by Bob Zis- kind, who in addition to BreeZing, was responsible

The trophy, in miniature, is pre- sented to the respective performers, and their names are inserihed on the major trophies whith are on display in the Pate College Lihrary. The award for Our Town will he presented at the end of the Spring Term to Miss Corinne Vitale for her portrayal of limily Wfehh, and to Mr. lfugene ,li XVojtiethowski for his role of the Stage lXl.lIl.l1LIt'l'. XlUith the thought in mind that the more a person knows of the theater the hetter his per- formante, the Tortlihearers have invited well known personalities to the tollege for informal distussions on the different prohlems tonfronting the present day theater. Mel Brown, serving his second year as Art Editor, brought vivid cartoons of college life to Press readers through It's So. jesse Levine was promoted from Business Manager to Advertising Manager, and Bernard Tobias replaced him as Business Manager . . . Lorraine Rebelta directed the Secretarial Staff, Berj Zavatjian assumed the Exchange Editors post, Al Yannow and Howard Vlfolpin handled circulation, and Ed Jerry was promoted to Production Manager. Leroy Pope and Al Hinkley comprised the Ac- counting Staff, and Art Jaffe and Murray Feldman served as Photographers. Faculty Advisers Mr. Benjamin T. Ford, Mr. john M. Wfaldman, and Mr. H. Norman Hinden provided the necessary guidance and counsel throughout the entire year.
