lnternatinnal Pielatinns OUNDED in the spring of 1950, the Interna- tional Relations Club has emerged as one of the most active organizations at Pace College. Under the helpful guidance of its two faculty advisers, Mr. Martin Wiliiiington and Mr. Law- rence Barrell, the club has accomplished much in its short life. Perhaps the most' outstanding activity was the organizations participation in the intercollegiate model session of the United Nations Security Council, held at Hunter College last fall. The club members represented the delegation from Ecuador in .1 manner that brought them many compliments. In addition to field trips, movies, and regular meetings. the club organized two or three public meetings each year at which prominent statesmen discuss current topics. The first public meeting was held in the spring of 1950 and featured a talk by Mr. Alexander Kerensky, former President of the Russian Republic in 1917. NN Condor Club members represent Equador at a UN sponsored model meeting. 'Iwji nm -Mr. M. XXfilmington, F. Cazzetto, R. Eckert, R. Reisen, Mr. L. Harrell. lgflflflll! wit'- R. XXfilson, li. Counting themselves extremely fortunate in hav- ing as their leader the well known Arthur Bis- guier, United States junior Champion, the group has responded quickly to his skillful and expe- rienced guidance. The goal of the memhers is to develop a well balanced team capable of accluitting itself well in matches with other colleges in the metropolitan area. Uebahnq HE Debating Society was reorganized at Pace College in the spring of 1950. The society elected otlicers, adopted a constitution, and looked forward to the fall with anticipation. The sum- mer, however, changed that anticipation, for only one officer remained of the six who had been elected. lt is the desire of all, in the spring of IOSI, to see the society on an intercollegiate level, in addition to weekly intramural and inter-society activity. lffff wir M. XVaving arms, acrobatics, and good loud voices of the Cheerleaders lead the followers of the Pace basketball games. The six young ladies attractively attired in blue and gold uni- forms comprise this year's Cheerleading Squad. Organized in 1947 with the return of varsity competition to our college scene, the Cheerleaders are directed by Director of Athletics, Philip F. Watterson. With only two girls returning from last years squad, Mr. Watterson was faced with the task of forming a practically new and inexperienced group into a well coordinated squad. After much hard practice, the Cheerleaders made their debut at the Alumni-Varsity basketball game. To show their spirit, the girls voted to appear at all Pace basketball games, both home and away. With their variety of cheers and their assort- ment of acrobatics, the Cheerleaders have proved a welcome addition to the ball game scenes and an effective stimulus for our teams in competition. Lets hear a Fight Team Fight!
