Varsity Boys ' Tennis The Varsity Boys ' Tennis team had an excellent year with a 7-4 record. Pace placed first in Region 7B winning number one singles, number one doubles, and number two doubles. Andy Rinzler was the singles victor, while John Steen and Reid Smith combined for the doubles victory. The season was highlighted by two victories over Lovett and a convincing win over Savannah Country Day School. The outstanding performer for the year was Andy Rinzler, who finished 5th in the State All-Classification Tournament. COACH: Mr. Neil DeRosa. LETTERMEN: Andy Rinzler, Dave Norman, Reid Smith, John Steen, Craig Lef kof f , Mike Orkin. PARTICIPANTS: Jim Woody, David Harris.

Varsity Girls ' Tennis LETTERS: Nell Mathis, Kim Butler, Louise Griffith, Betsy Garlington, Patty Heerman, Virginia Herndon, Leslie Phillips, Lisa Rinzler, Wendy Wilmot. In their third season, the Pace Academy Girls ' Tennis team had an overall 3-3 record. In Region 7B Lisa Rinzler won first place in the singles, and Betsy Garlington teamed with Louise Griffith to take first place in the doubles. These wins enabled Pace to retain the Region 7B crown.

This spring a mixed doubles tennis tournament was organized within the Pace community. Andy and Lisa Rinzler were just narrowly beaten by Coach DeRosa and Betsy Garlington. Junior Varsity Boys ' Tennis In its first year of existence, the Boys ' Junior Varsity tennis team compiled a 3-2 record and finished third in their league. COACH: Mr. Neil DeRosa. PARTICIPANTS: Jim Dezell, David Harris, Wesley Medford, John Brundage, David Geldbart, Billy Girf f in, Samuel Cooper, Mark Greenberg, Kenny Orkin, Eric Abrams.
