Seniors' Lost Production The Senior Class of 1952 presented their Senior Play on May l, under the direction of Mrs. George Massingill. They chose Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. Virgil Machado played the part of Lane, the butler, while LarryGraves had a similar role as Merriman. Reta Ballinger was Lady Brack- nell, with Jo Ann Deaton as Gwendoline Fair- fax, her daughter, Norris Pogue as Algernon Moncrieff and Joe Bailey as Jack Worthing , were the heroes of the production. Kay Kirby was Cecily Cardew, Jack's ward, with Wanda Carden portraying Miss Prism, her governess and companion. John Greer was Rev. Fred- erick Chasuble. The play was well done--Norris and Joe seemed to especially enjoy their roles. They even seerned to fall naturally into the tradi- tional pose of that period. Mrs. Massingill and the cast worked hard. Mr. Harris and stage managers Bobby Womackand Pete Cisneros spent hours painting the stage scenery. We enjoyed this departure from the ordinary production of farce or slap- stick comedy, After it was over, . will
