Arthur is vice-president of the Student Council, member of the Johnson Club, a Philomathean and secretary of the Spanish Club. He was an Ozark Wesleyan pioneer in the Barracks in 1924-25. As a track man he is a distance runner. Bob's a success. 3 1 , el N I C. Russui. MCCAULEY McCauley is a worthy person for this honored position, he is capable of such a responsibility. Russell is also business manager of the college paper which will testify to his business ability. McCauley is popular throughout school. He is a member of the mens' honorary club, the Johnson Club, a member of the YMCA, the O. W. Choir and president of the Philomathean. We trust that into whatever Russell goes he will be a success. , 1535 ire! ' Hditoris CI-fepnrt ' The Ashlar staff had ahard time getting organized. First the business manager previously elected failed to return this year. Next, the editor left school. The business manager then elected had too many responsibilities to assume more, so the class went out of their body to ask a sophomore to serve. At last, about the last of October. the Ashlar Control met and selected the various assistants. As soon as the staE met, action began. Russell Benedict helped wonderfully by sketching nearly all of the zinc etchings used. Thelma Marsh assisted in the snapshot collecting and Cecil Ritchey turned a helping hand to the advertising manager. Of course, there were many, many others who have helped in special ways to compile this book, though their names do not appear here, but they may rest assured that those who know fully appreciate their help. A word of commendation is due to each member of the staff. One of those who has devoted much of her time to the Ashlar work is Birdie Mae Kreisel. She has served efficiently and willingly in more ways than as society editor. Philip Hannum has served to the full extent both as Asst. Bus. Mgr. and as athletic editorg Agnes Kerr guided the two sales campaigns with telling resultsg Ida Allendorf has helped in several capacities besides carrying double oificesg Wilbur Longstreth had his alumni research in full and on timep Joy Doty's snapshot pages will speak for her effortsg Francis Wisegarver had done her helping by over- seeing the art workg Jennie Louise Potts served in the Fine Arts depart- ment also in gathering of information. The book could not be published without the advertiser's support and this in itself speaks for Louis Proctor. The associate editor will remember her labor by perusing these pages and not least, comes the smiling moral support of our spon- sor, Prof. Fred E. Miles.
