Once upon a time there was a town, an orderly town, laid out in checkerboard fashion. In the center of this said town stood a court- house and atop of it was the town clock. Y In the early morning all the family got up when the clock struck .g. six. And at seven all the families ate breakfast. And as the clock boomed out eight, forth from these homes came the children: little chil- :I dren, medium size children and big children-all starting off to school. And the town clock smiled down on them and all Went well. 4' . 4. But-one morning when the clock struck 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8, out came If: the little boys and girlsg out come the medium sized boys and girls-but I 22' where were the big boys and girls? The big boys and girls known as the students of Ozark Wesleyan College. The clock grew uneasy, Q2 minutes passed as hours. what could have happened to the big boys and ' ,E girls. Then the town clock looked again. What was this? Yes Sir. . 1 Tramps, ragged and dirty and here a bunch of Gypsies evidently friends of these bums were taking the town by storm and conquest, true hobo f fashion. 'S' . ., The clock looked disgusted, bewildered-and then he recognized these jesting frolicking tramps and gypsies as none others but the boys 3: and girls of Ozark Wesleyan College, his beloved big boys and girls. xl' 'K' ' F So with a sigh of contentment and relief he toiled the hours of Z that day which were the happiest day for Ozark Wesleyan Students of 1929-Hobo Day.
