Harry's work was always steady. and he gave his best. which every opponent Ig knows to his sorrow. when Mac's brawn manifested itself, it was felt. He is a first year man, and should be more valuable and a better player than ever next + year. G. EDWARD KNIGHT. SATURDAY QCD Right Guard E This is Knights second year as captain of the team. Not only did he prove a ' good player, but he was a more than capable leader. His clean. hard playing was , ever an inspiration to his men. and his example in training always helpful. Ed ll will probably not be back next year and his loss will be keenly felt. I -3- , i HARRY STUCKEY. STOCK Left Half If it wasn't' for those that give their best day after day without any hope of glory, a football team couldn't succeed. Stuclcey was one of those men who think ofthe - evential success of the team as of paramount importance. Besides doing his best, at all times, he is a real back. This was his second year on the team. 3. I page ninety-five .5...,.4i94FQ'b,,,,,4'9tG' 43 2E'+l926+ '53

It was a highly successful season, even though the team Won only four games while losing five. three of which should have been won. v qle start of the season found a squad of players that had no exper- ience in college play. with no nucleus around which to build. and pa new coach who had to build from the very bottom. ln spite of these handicaps. however. the Lions establish- ed a reputation throughout Missouri. Oklahoma. Kansas and Arkansas that will last. and that will be a standard for future teams to uphold. We highest class teams that Doc Moon could find were played. It was against such teams as the Southwest Missouri State Teachers College. the Arkansas University Freshmen that the Lions established their reputation as a clean. hard fighting bunch of players. We take this opportunity to congratulate XVesleyan's team of '25 for their spirit of loyalty: their sportsmanship. which was clean at all times: and their record. Too much credit cannot possibly be given Coach Frank fDocl Moon for developing the team that upheld the honor of O. VV. C. on the white-lined gridiron. 971s season's games follow: A SPRINGFIELD TEACHERS' COLLEGE Played in a sea of mud and A during a steady rain.
