There are for- Q X ty-one students. seven of whom graduate this June. Last year there were twenty- eight. - , Most of the students in this department are those who have not had an opportunity to go to high school and the work here affords them a splendid advantage. They are able to acquire standard high school training 1. nder capable instructors andf at minimum cost. It is not easy for students of limited means to find a school where they can with reasonable effort work their Way. Ozark Wesleyan provides the opportunity in a Way that is appreciated by all her students. V In the various organizations in school, the a:ademy has helped to make the year 1925-26 a success, The Latin Club especially was a source of pleasure to those who labor amidst the coniugations of amo. volo and io. In the ranks of the stalwart Philos. the academy students passed, under the yoke in all humility, while in the Beta Zetas they assisted wherever possible. t ' H At Marionville the academy had always been a strong department of the college, but since the removalvof the college to Carthage. it has been forced to defer in favor of the doughty sophomores and Freshmen of theqcollege proper. The traditional majority of the academy has become a lowly minority which in the new order of things creates a new situation. Whereas they were once. by majority rule.. able to hold the balance of POWSF- Xthey m11Sf HOW. through lack of numbers, be content with a secondary place in the annals of O. W. C.
