OHS Band and Chorus Picture this situation: You are a member of the OHS Marching Band, standing at frozen attention on the coldest day of the year in somebody's Christmas parade. You have marched for three miles up and down hills, dodging souvenirs left by horses ahead of you, getting more and more tired with each inch, and wondering why the heck you are out there freezing to death. Why indeed? Whatever the reason, 65 brave musicians managed to make it through the . year with an extremely small dropout rate. The Ozark High School Band, both Marching and Concert, seems to be composed of f -xv individuals who are both talented and-perhaps most important of , all-sturdy. F Following the proud tradition of the OHS Band is the Ozark r f '- IPL -tk--- High School Chorus. This equally talented group of individuals, like ' the band, was also led through 1971-72 by Mr. Michael Seidner. it .f ! x N X ' X 5 f Q st Y , , it s salt S Q . 2 5 Laura Zellers practices her trumpet solo while sister Lisa looks on. Mrs. Harbin and Debbie Dougan check to see what pages are needed. Journalism While Debbie Dougan finishes a final copy, Lona Williams is creating an original caption. OHS Observer editor-in-chief, Linda Myers, takes time out to work on journalism pages. Anyone passing Room 104 during fourth hour , might wonder a little at what was going on inside. Comments drift outside into the hall: What do you mean, you lost all the sophomore individual pic- tures? She had it last, not me. The question might even arise of how anything could ever be done in the midst of such chaos. But, somehow, it does get done, somehow this book did make it from Room 104 to the printers to your hands. lf members of Journalism and its honorary society Quill 8. Scroll learned anything during the year, it was the value of teamwork, in attempting any task, and the value of determination in getting it done. In many ways we have received a great deal this yearg we hope that we have given back tc OHS and its student body as much.
