7' I 3 Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground Theodore Roosex elt used these words to express his own personal philosophy of life 'Io understand the real meaning of the words, and phrases, used by revered leaders, one must know and appreciate the greatness of the man who used them The life of Theodore Roosexelt was guided by these words-this philosophy. To keep your eyes on the stars means to seek wider horizons, and broader wision, to see the Infinite with unlimited possibilities for mankind to strive for higher purposes and loftier ideals, to look upward and out- ward for courage, inspiration truth and beauty. To 'keep your feet on the ground means to base your life and work on fundamental qualities, those unchanging guides to successful living it means to stand firm in struggle and conflict to know that strength and stability are necessary in working with others.
