How our mtnds tortured usl At last the fateful day arrlved and after recetvmg our lrttle cards, we were lookmg for our frrst room We soon settled down to life at Oxford Htgh and found that ll was not nearly so bad as we had f1rst feared W1th class acuvmes, lunch room rush pep rallres, ball games, Jultus Caesar, cuttrng up frog legs tn Blology, and becom mg acquamted wlth an unknown quantxty often referred to as X rn algebra, we struggled through a happy sophomore year at Oxford Hrgh School In what seemed lrke no trme at all we were Jumors As Jumors we got behmd our school and supported rt tn every way by lommg clubs backmg our athletrc teams and presentlng our Jumor Class Play Strtctly Formal Our trrumph of the year was for thrs festlve occasron was Red Sa1ls 1n the Sunset Thus our Jumor year ended vv1th all of us proud of Oxford and eager to serve her Then the digmf1edSenlors appeared Oxford was truly our school thrs year we were to lead her As Sentors, we worked a llttle harder played a lrttle harder and made our last year a most successful one As ume went on, Macbeth be came very famrltar to us The responsrbllrty of the YELLOW JACKET and THE STINGER now rested on our shoulders We went to the football games and cheered as we had never cheered before Our Seruor Play and class PICDIC were happy events tn our year's actwxtres The last weeks at Oxford were f1lled w1th excrte ment wrth our graduatron For all of us ll meant the begrnmng of a new l1.fe m the adults' world, but It would also mean the end of three of the most tmportant years tn our l1fe Although we could never lrve them agam, we had a heart full of memorres memones of lessons we had learned, fun we had had, and frrend shtps we had made These golden memorres whlch were to be cherlshed and never forgotten '55 Class Hlstonan . 3 . . . . . . . . . .
