HERE IS YOUR 1947 YELLOW JACKET. THE’STAFF has chosen “the ribbon as the salient motif of this volume, for it represents the “tie-that-binds student to teacher—and teacher to student. As we fling this banner across the pages of this book, may we strive to embed the cherished memories, good fellowship, and friendliness of our SENIOR YEAR at CALHOUN COUNTY HIGH, and may this ribbon lengthen to represent a heritage that will preserve generation after generation at this school. It is the aim of the STAFF to present to you a record of the many activities during the past year—in a school which has played an active part in a thriving town—a town which has played a prominent role in the welfare of our student life by unswervingly backing all our under- takings.—So take this book and ever cherish it. Now, our high school days are over.
