 DeeuCfotte f { f The 1984-85 Journalism class has placed great effort into the year- book. They published the yearbook, the “Kitty Courier” biweekly and the KNIC Radio Broadcast each Friday every other month. In October the students sold ads in our surrounding local areas. Each student learned the use of the camera and the dark room. There have been a lot of responsibilities, headaches, mistakes, and the dreaded DEADLINES. But it is meant to be a history of 1984-85 — our history! Within these covers are preserved memories of classes, games, dances, meetings, contests, and friends — memories to be relived and cherished as the class reunions come and go. And the tasks could not have been complete without the help of the editor, Cathy Betzen, and the advisor, Irene McKinley. Upper right: Michelle D. filing away. 7 Oxtord High School Band: hirst row: I ammy Lowry, JoDe Potucek, Kenna Kendrick, Tracy Poovey, Tammy Bingham, Sandy Bain. Second row: Ionia Clark, Sandy White, Billy Wollard, Keri Thomas, Melynda Lacey. Eden Sauzek, Cammie Starlin. Peggv Swanson, Kristen Gill, Michelle Russell, Catherine Elwood. Third row: Julie Nethercot, Sandy Farha, Kelly Marymee, Rick Mav, and Paul Banks; director. The Wildcat Band received many honors during the 84-85 school year. One ratings were received from twelve judges during the year, which included marching com- petition at the State Fair, League Music Festival, Regional and State Festivals. The band also was part of the World’s Largest Marching Band at KSU Band Day. The band marched in the Oxford Watermelon Feed, Southwestern College Homecoming, as well as performing at all home football games. They also presented a Christmas and spring concert. 30
