0 0 0 The student council is a group of chosen student representatives. They have Mr. Wycoff as a sponsor who helps keep projects rolling and things in line. This year the student council had activities such as the hidden bats on Halloween that could be turned in for prizes. They also held a Christmas dance with KEYN supplying the D.J. The last day before Christmas vacation, the student council rented the movie “Psycho” for the high school students to watch. To start the 1985 year off, the student council held a basketball homecoming dance. One of the student council members, Jeff Leggett, provided the D.J. entertainment. A new idea done several times throughout the year was a donut break from 10:00 to 10:20 a.m. Student council members sold donuts and milk during this time. It seemed to go over well. Something people seemed to avoid is the fact that the Oxford Student Council is slowly falling in- to a state of apathy. There is hardly anyone who wants to put forth an effort to get things done. 1984-85 president Keel White stated, “I was disappointed in the effort put forth by several members. For examble, people left without cleaning up after dances. I just hope that next year there is more effort by members, and that they do more stuff.” First row: Treasurer, Jami Delp; President, Keel White; Vice President, Denise Woods; Secretary, MicheUe Deyoe; and Sponsor, Mr. Wyckoff.
